On most lakes we will fish from a 2004 Crestliner 18.5 foot fishawk with a 135 optimax that has up to date electronics and electric trolling motor. Lake of the Woods
The crown jewel of the Northwestern Ontario's vacationland. Big doesn't really describe its 65,000 miles of shoreline with over 14,000 islands. It is a recognized Ontario legend. The meandering shoreline rimmed with thick green forests and granite rises provide an uncountable number of quiet secluded bays for safe anchorage. The numerous islands insure good running regardless of winds and weather. You will have the opportunity to watch Beaver at work, to see Moose, Deer and Black Bear. You may watch Bald Eagles soar, nesting Osprey, a variety of Hawks, Cormorants, a large population of Pelicans exclusive to Lake of the Woods and be serenaded by the calls of the Loons.Lake of the Woods has gained a position of historical significance within the region and maintains a reputation for finest fishing and hunting as well as establishing itself as a prime attraction for tourism.
Crow Duck Lake
Crow Duck Lake is eastern Manitoba's largest lake with crystal clear drinking water. The lake is approximately 10 miles long and 6 miles across with 75 irregular miles of varied shoreline and 16 islands which offers many types of fishing. In these water abound Small-Mouth Bass, Walleye and Pike. Limits of Bass and Pike are available to be kept. A scenic boat ride up to Crow Duck Falls is a must to see along with deer, moose and bear, pausing for a morning drink. The Winnipeg River is fed by mighty Lake of the Woods and flows northward through northwestern Ontario into Manitoba and into Lake Winnipeg. There are many lakes that are part of the system including Rough Rock Lake, Big Sand, Gun, Pistol, Green and Eaglesnest. The river and the lakes offer spectacular fishing opportunities for sturgeon, walleye, Muskie, pike and bass.
